Cancellation Policy
How refunds work when a booking is cancelled.

| Less than 3 days before pickup | No refund | 100% retained |

Pending requests
While a booking is still pending (the host has not yet accepted), you can cancel at any time and receive a full refund. No fee applies.
Host cancellations
If the host cancels a confirmed booking, the renter always receives a full refund regardless of how close the trip is. Repeated host cancellations may result in account suspension.
Refund timing
Refunds are processed manually by the Carfare team within 5 business days of cancellation. The refund amount shown on your booking page is the final amount that will be returned to your original payment method.
Force majeure
In the case of severe weather, road closures, volcanic activity, or other events outside both parties' control, contact us at [email protected] and we will work with both renter and host to find a fair resolution.
